When it comes to sending thank-you cards I am rubbish. Absolutely rubbish. I start off with the best intentions, buying armfuls of crafting gear and scouring Pinterest for ideas to show people how appreciative we are of them thinking of us on our birthdays. But then my best intentions usually get lost in the rush of life: buying kids shoes (40 QUID!! WTF, Clarks?!), writing weekly meal plans, washing tiny pairs of knickers and hoovering up crumbs. A riveting insight into my typical day: you’re welcome.
Recently Elfie was a flower girl at my cousin’s wedding and I wanted to send her and her new husband something to say thank-you for including her on the most special day of their life. My half-finished crafting disaster wouldn’t cut the mustard this time so I started looking elsewhere. This is how I came across PaperShaker, a custom card company with creativity and quality setting them apart from everyone else.
After perusing their products I went for their Thank-You card; I picked my favourite photo of Elfie from my cousin’s wedding day, changed the fonts and wording and sent my order off to print. I didn’t select any special delivery but I kid you not, the cards arrived on my door step THE NEXT DAY. I’m usually only used to next day delivery service from ASOS (me and my DPD delivery guy, we’re like this) so it was pretty awesome.
Here comes the review bit…
These cards are gorgeous. I’ve ordered personalised cards online before and yes, they’re nice, but the quality is never what you want. I was seriously impressed with these, the card stock is obviously of a superior quality and the high-res photo of Elfie I selected looks beautiful. Envelopes are included and these again are of a high quality.
I sent the card off to my cousin this morning and am looking forward to hearing what she thinks… I’m pretty sure it’ll take pride of place somewhere super prominent in her house because, come on, who wouldn’t want that beautiful face gazing at you every day?! The other 9 cards in the pack will be used as thank-you cards from Elfie’s birthday this year. Yep, the birthday she had in July.
I’m hanging my head in shame. Life has been busy, OK?!
The cards were £14.90 for a pack of 10, which works out at a very reasonable £1.49 each. I’ll be back for more thank-you cards, probably approximately three months after Hux’s next birthday.
